The World
What if a hidden dimension of space-manipulating magic revealed itself, revolutionizing how society operates, and leading society to accept power from a foreign and unknown source? What if said magic can warp the world around you in non-euclidean perspectives? And what rules and dangers can come from this magic having its own form of sentience?
Welcome to the world of Adar, a broken landscape where each area the magic from the Blur has manifested is ruled by myriad individuals and groups. Attuning to the magic allows the magic user to harness the control of the world around them through their ability to manipulate the environment and space. Tapping into the magic can be done in two ways. One can form a contract with an immortal being from the Blur itself. In doing so, channeling the magic through the immortal being’s power, which puts them at risk of being under their control. On the other hand, one can channel the magic without the help of a Denison or a Dragon, but take on the full load of its burden and risk “Enlightenment,” the state of being where you no longer can control yourself, as the sentient magic will control you.
