Tranala by Allie Williams, Logan Briede, William Howard, and Aidan Quigley

Logline: Tranala, a world much like our own, is forever changed by a magical blast. Alongside humans, three fantastical humanoid races arise: the Dacon bear people, the Syreni aquatic mammals, and the Entrass tree people. Each has their own countries,  cultures, government, and values, but they all live together in relative, if somewhat uneasy, peace. The blast also caused the separation of people’s souls from their bodies, with the ability to harness and manifest one’s soul based on one’s personality and desires called psychonic. However, when peace is threatened by a cult wanting to steal people’s psychonic, will heroes arise to save the world?

Tagline: In a world where your power is a reflection of you, what can you do?

Genre: Steampunk Fantasy + Action-Adventure Mystery

Synopsis: Nem, a human man, is forced to watch helplessly as his hometown is raided by an army of masked cult members, known as The Deserving. Led by a Dacon leader named Almer, the raiders kidnap many of Nem’s friends, family and neighbors  for experimentation and kill many more. Nem manages to escape with his mentor, Vorder, but not without the event being seared into his memory. He swears to find Almer and destroy him, but Nem fails.

Realizing he cannot do this alone, Nem sets out with Vorder to gain strength and allies. Orion, an Entrass hunter whose family was killed by Almer, joins them to avenge his family. A Syreni named Heath, the self-proclaimed fastest sailor ever, volunteers to give them a ride across the ocean to Valensha. There, the four allies uncover the true culprit behind the raids and kidnappings: a human noble named Liliana, who has been performing experiments on the kidnapped people. She has gained the psychonic through a forbidden method known as soul binding, and plans an attack on a large scale. Nem and his party reach her before she is able to and, after a long fight, bring her down.
